What You'll Be Doing

Duties:

  1. Works with staff to use a standardized set up for robotic cases and operating rooms.
    2. Maintains up to date list of equipment/supplies kept/stocked in the robotic OR(s) and proactively communicates with the OR supply chain personnel to assure par levels are efficient.
    3. Prepares and maintains Robotic resource book, surgeon preference cards and Instrument count sheet.
    4. Foster positive relations with surgeons and promotes development and implementation of new robotic surgical procedures.
  2. Provide staff with updates to information including new technology, software updates.
    6. Provide timely feedback regarding personnel and surgeon issues related to robotic surgery line.
    7. The coordinator will participate in all phases of education and assist with maintaining staff development, skills records, and implementing staff development programs as needed regarding the Da Vinci Service line.
  3. Review schedule in advance to ensure appropriate resources are available.
  4. Provide direct support to the OR team during surgical procedures.
  5. Ensure the efficiency of processes for first case on time start and turnaround time for the robotic surgical procedures.
  6. Communicate relevant information on a timely manner with the perioperative team and other departments for continuity of care.
  7. Ensure that the robotics service line is in compliance with the policies and procedure.
  8. Provide assistance to the OR team with the late robotic cases.

What We're Looking For

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of OR technician training program from an accredited school

Experience working in an acute care operating room with strong clinical expertise in a Da Vinci Robotics procedures.
5 to 10 years’ experience in an Operating Room

Knowledge of computers and EMR

CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:
Current/Active CST Certification by the Association of Surgery Technician
Current BLS Certification- AHA approved

7am-330pm
