What You'll Be Doing

The Patient Care Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the management, administrative operations and clinical practice activities within the ICU unit. Together with Organizational Development, will plan and organize training for unit staff members, and participates in guidance and educational programs. Collaborates with other Directors, Administrators, medical staff, and other departments to provide quality care and maintain optimal services. Committed to creating a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork and continuous learning and associate ability to meet patient needs.

The goal of the Patient Care Director will be to provide patient reviews that are coordinated to provide a seamless, integrated system of care that is high value, cost effective and customer focused; will be committed to creating a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork and continuous learning and associate ability to meet patient needs. Another priority is to be the Chief Retention Officer for ICU and utilize principles of service excellence to achieve goals for staff development, staff satisfaction and staff retention.


The Patient Care Director must have knowledge of specialty services and related nursing standards and be aware of the changing health care environment locally and nationwide and acceptance of the philosophy and standards of Service Excellence.

What We're Looking For

Full Time * Day Shift

Flex scheduling 

  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. CCRN preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in critical care/ICU required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a lead or management position required.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills.
  • Must possess strong leadership and effective communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
