    Responsibilities

    MAIN FUNCTIONS: Able to initiate and deliver critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients. Identify, demonstrate and evaluate appropriate critical care nursing interventions utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrate ability to use equipment specific to the Critical Care Services. Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest (Code Blue), RRT and emergencies throughout the facility, performing functions of advanced cardiac life support, including defibrillation, transcutaneous pacing, documentation and supervision of the code team members.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

    EXPERIENCE: Previous critical care experience including but not limited to: angioplasty, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP, ECG interpretation, defibrillation, AICD, transcutaneous and transvenous pacing, physical assessments, transporting critically ill patients.

    LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice professional nursing in NJ, completion of a critical care course, CCRN preferred, completion of BLS, ACLS as per Hospital policy, IV certification as per hospital policy. Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

     

    Full Time 7:00pm-7:30am every other weekend every other holiday
