What You'll Be Doing

The value analysis process focuses on maintaining or improving patient safety, quality and clinical operations while reducing overall cost. The value analysis process will require the establishment and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, cost and outcome. Manager of Value Analysis is liaison in delivering CQO (Cost, Quality, & Outcome) best practices across the health system.

 

  • Lead multidisciplinary Value Analysis committees and work with diverse groups including but not limited to physicians, allied health professionals, administrators, finance department staff, vendor representatives and other individuals internal and external to CarePoint Health.
  • Collaborate with Value Analysis committee members from all areas of the organization including but not limited to business services, cardiovascular, clinical laboratory, nursing, perioperative services, and radiology.  
  • Facilitate system wide discussions with clinicians related to expense reduction initiatives and quality initiatives that have a significant supply impact.
  • Manage Value Analysis led projects; regularly communicate Value Analysis activities to the committee members. Facilitate consensus among clinical stakeholders, determine and resolve barriers by vetting through the value analysis process.
  • Responsible for coordinating supply expense management initiatives. Review new product or product change requests. Coordinate trials and evaluations. Ensure success of new product adaptation.
  • Develop procedures and tools needed to successfully implement system procurements, and ensure data integrity.
  • Plan and execute product standardization initiatives for clinical products within patient care areas. Build enthusiasm amongst colleagues.
  • Define requested data and analytics required for individual projects and initiatives, accessing or obtaining such data, scrubbing and manipulating as needed in support of defined goals.
  • Develop meeting agendas and create power point presentations for Value Analysis meetings.
  • Responsible for calculating savings targets and tracking outcomes by producing and maintaining reports.
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Analysts in support of the Value Analysis function.
  • Reviews the current group purchasing (GPO) contract portfolio, helps develop clinical utilization protocols. Promote increasing compliance with GPO wherever possible.
  • Create and update policies and procedures. Document and promote best business practices learned.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Nursing or Health Administration required. Master’s degree in hospital or business administration, finance or closely related clinical discipline, preferred.
  • Minimum of five years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of area specific procedures, medical/surgical terminology, and supply functions and usage in the specific work area.
  • Knowledge of the principles of business and inventory management and supply chain is also required; negotiating techniques is preferred.
  • Value Analysis experience in an integrated delivery network (IDN) or multi hospital system.
  • Knowledge of leadership principles/concepts, budgetary concepts, and supply chain systems.
