• Learn and understand CarePoint Health policies, procedures, and system related operations within billing.
• Provide help desk support for all customer complaints and issues.
• Ensures accurate and timely communication to customers and team members.
• Answer all calls that come to the insurance help desk.
• Access and maintain customer account and insurance policy records.
• Provide customers with detailed information related to their services rendered.
• Recommend available resources such as financial assistant to patients that qualify.
• Set up payment arrangements that correlate with the patient’s recommendations and capabilities.
• Accurately document and report complaints.
• Manage the customer complaint database.
• Respond to calls and emails within a 24-hour time frame.
• Sort and distribute mail related to the insurance help desk to the appropriate staff and/or supervisor to
review.
• Maintain up-to-date information on policies and procedures, billing information, and health care
benefits.
• Handle patient inquiries
• Keep up to date with changes within the department policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Attentive to detail
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Proficient in MS Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Strong time management capabilities
• Highly organized
