Performs or assist with employee annual screenings and vaccinations as per
provider guidelines.
Obtain patient demographics and information.
Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments.
Accurately obtain vital signs and report abnormal findings to nurse manager.
Prepare patient record/chart for appointments.
Assists with dressings, collecting specimens, preparing for exams etc.
Accompanies patients/ assist with transfers to procedure room/Emergency Dept.
Understand and maintain patient confidentiality during check-in procedures.
Understand and perform proper infection control procedures such as handwashing and disposal of
contaminated materials.
Maintains temperature log as required for medication refrigeration.
Assemble and maintain medical supplies.
Assists nurse manager with a variety of procedures
Administrative
Answers incoming calls, address queries and ensure quality customer service.
Review office voice messages and return calls as needed
Sending notifications to employees needing follow ups via post or inter-office mail
Assist patients with initial paperwork.
Fulfills patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules, confirming appointments and
organizing patient flow.
Sending and receiving medical records and other document requests.
Update maintain and file patient health records.
Use medical and Microsoft Office software to support all transactions, including maintenance of
accurate compliance list for both annual screenings and influenza vaccinations
Collaborate with clinician/manager to maintain and order office supplies
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree program or Technical School.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), State of New Jersey.
American Heart Association CPR Certification.
Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical facility or externship completion in a
medical office
