MAIN FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for monitoring tray-line assembly to ensure tray accuracy and work tray-line position when scheduled. Deliver and collect (late-Trays) meal trays to patients or residents. Acts as liaison between the patient, Food and Nutrition Department and Nursing Services during meal times for the communications of all patient /resident food needs. Performs a variety of tasks, which includes BMC Performance Improvement statistics Ie. (Test Trays, Tray-line Pre-service checklists, documenting Refrigerator & Dish machine temperatures, Random tray accuracy audits, and Patient meal rounds). Maintaining and properly documenting the following, Department Daily Communication Log, Phone log and employees schedule (Pay Roll abbreviations). Perform Cash Handling Procedures. Trains workers in performance of duties and assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote an efficient operation.
Assist in inventory control/ordering of related supplies. Coordinates employee schedules to adhere to all BMC policy and procedures.
Maintains open communication regarding relevant operational issues with the Supervisors and Asst. Food Director.
EDUCATION: High School
EXPERIENCE: 2 yrs Lead experience in healthcare food services.
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively.
Ability to work well under time constraints. Requires leadership skills and the ability to train employees.
LICENSURE/SKILLS: Must have general computer skills including word and excel.
