What You'll Be Doing

Main Function:

  • Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Counselor will conduct one to one counseling to primary and secondary survivors of sexual assault trauma.
  • The counselor will assist with support groups and clinical case management as needed.
  • Provide a minimum of 250 Counseling sessions within 2017 to Spanish speaking primary and secondary survivors of Sexual assault
  • Actively follow up to do intakes with referrals that come through community agencies or via Hudson SPEAKS Helpline for Spanish speaking survivors.
  • Maintain documents/Case notes/sign-in sheets and collect data on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting to the state and maintain up to date documents for audit purposes.
  • Participate in SAAM events and other community events organized by Hudson SPEAKS.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and other department activities/trainings.

 

What We're Looking For

Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work (required)

 

Licensure/Certifications: LSW/LCSW/LPC/LAC, bi-lingual in Spanish & 40-hour confidential sexual violence advocates training (required)
