The Housekeeper under general direction cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms nd corridors.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Performs routing cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms nd corridors.
2. Performs hi-low dusting, surface sanitizing, wall spotting, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor dry mopping, and floor sanitizing. 
3. Inspects rooms and areas after cleaning. 
4. Occasionally moves furniture and equipment. 
5. Works scheduled weekdays, weekend, holidays and commits to the System's Mission Statement.
6. Washes and makes up beds after discharges. 
7. Clean up blood and body substances from floors and/or other environmental surfaces.
8. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
9. Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas
10. Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Related Healthcare Housekeeping experience, preferred
• Detail oriented and ability to properly follow directions
