The Security Sergeant will perform a variety of security and safety related functions while involved in the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, physicians and property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Will provide supervision, leadership, and oversight for assigned shift
2. will coordinate with Director to resolve shift, patrol routes, employee issues & scheduling
3. Directs visitors, patients, vendors to correct locations; distributes passes
4. Performs unit/building clock tours daily
5. Conducts security rounds for safety violations
6. Reports all hazardous conditions to the proper departments
7. Monitors cameras / alarms at command posts
8. Investigates all (police type) incident reports
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Minimum of 2 years prior security experience is required
• SORA certification is required
• Valid NJ driver's license is required
• BLS certification is preferred
• Fire safety manager license must be obtained within six months of date of employment
