POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Technician is responsible to minimize the risk of transmission of infections associated with the use of patient care equipment.
• This is accomplished through established guidelines of cleaning for each piece of equipment that falls under his/her care.
• Also responsible for the appropriate storage, functionality testing, tracking, cleaning, disinfection sterilizing and/or disposal of equipment, as well as contacting the appropriate companies to obtain repairs for the equipment, if the Biomedical Department contract does not cover that equipment.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 1+ years related experience

Skills: Detail oriented, Central Service Technician certification preferred.
