The Food Service Aide provides tray service to all patients during meal times according to set procedures and regulatory standards under direction of the Dietary Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Prepares and sets up tray line for scheduled meal time.
2. Assembles trays according to menu, adhering to portion standards and safe food handling procedures.
3. Distributes trays in all patient care areas according patient’s name, room and bed number, written on menu.
4. Collects soiled trays from patient care areas.
5. Prepares and delivers late trays, special requests and between meal nourishment.
6. Cleans assigned work areas, according to set procedures.
7. Distributes patients’ menus.
8. Follow departmental procedures including sanitation safety and cleaning schedules.
9. Set up, serve and clean up special functions properly store away all food supplies.
10. Assembles and delivers supplies to patient units.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with food handling environment (restaurant, café, food service)
• Detail oriented and ability to properly follow directions
• Bilingual, preferred
