To provide direct, basic medical and personal care to patients in a clinical setting under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. A Patient Care Assistant is also responsible cleaning of specific equipment, stocking supplies and equipment and transportation of patients, supplies and equipment. Their work can involve a great deal of standing, bending, and heavy lifting.
Education: High School Diploma and completion of 60 Hours UAP course.
Experience: Related experience preferred, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
Skills: CPR for Healthcare Workers, Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated people/interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information.
