POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.
Provides comprehensive care to patients requiring Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology services in an organized and systematic manner according to departmental policy and standards.

Handles all waste products and related material and supplies. Weighs, records and prepares medical waste reports for all site shipments. Transports and disposal of non-regulated waste to compactor. Cleans garbage work area, garbage containers, loading dock, safety tools, equipment, and surrounding corridor. Performs all traditional housekeeping duties. Signs NJDEP manifest forms and handles all paper work relating to regulated waste. Completes inventory of supplies, equipment and maintains upkeep. Works scheduled weekdays, weekends, holidays and commits to the hospital.
