- The Monitor Technician provides clerical support to the department, places patients on and off cardiac monitors, changes batteries on telemetry units, monitors for and promptly reports cardiac rhythm problems, and obtains and posts monitor strips in the medical record.
- The Monitor Technician reports directly to the Nursing Care Coordinator or designee (Charge Nurse) of the unit.
