Main Functions:
- The Emergency Room Technician provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Handles the care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment.
We have a great opportunity to join our team as a Registered Dietitian at Bayonne Medical Center – Carepoint Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing optimal nutrition care to admitted patients. BMC is a multi-ethnic community hospital with specialties in comprehensive heart care, primary stroke care, oncology, and transitional care. Clinical duties include nutrition assessment and intervention, malnutrition identification, and nutrition counseling. Position requires active involvement in interdisciplinary and nutrition meetings and performance improvement projects.
The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing the delivery of care.
They will work with the patient to establish reasonable and measurable goals within a specific time frame.
The physical therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP), under the general direction of the physician, will provide healthcare in a variety of clinical settings within the Scope of the Nurse Practice Act. The NP is responsible for providing acute inpatient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, educating, and admitting/discharging patients. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.
The successful candidate will / be able to:
· Knowledgeable of Federal, State Laws and Regulation, Accreditation and License requirements as governed by established policies and procedures
· Assesses patient status and obtains a comprehensive health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assessing presenting illness, risk factors, and family history, psychosocial situation, and cultural factors; and performing thorough physical examination.
· Orders/performs appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and other screening tests. Seeks other information as needed, including consultation with physicians and other clinicians for the evaluation of illness.
· Integrates data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks.
· Develops and implements treatment plan including but not limited to prescribing/dispensing medications in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws. Makes appropriate adjustments of medications substitutions as needed for patient care.
· Patient / Family Education and Communication. Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments. Educates patients regarding health promotion/illness prevention. Recommends appropriate community resources to meet patient/family needs. Communicates appropriate case management information to other professionals and community agencies. Prepares documentation for medical records
including updating patient medical chart by posting examination and test results, diagnosis, medications, and treatment in written format or electronically.
· Participates in peer and quality reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guideline development, and other continuing education and quality assurance activities to demonstrate compliance with standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. Identifies, documents and actively reports issues and system barriers through appropriate administrative and medical staff channels.
· Acts as consultant/collaborator to clinical team on area of specialty. Complies with patient confidentiality requirements. Promotes patient advocacy.
· Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patient. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between visits according to treatment plan including triaging patient calls/e-mails.
· Monitors patients progress along the continuum of care intervening as necessary to ensure appropriateness of setting and services provided are high quality, efficient and effective. Coordinates plan of care.
· Assist in discharge planning. Ensures an appropriate discharge plan. Facilitates implementation of discharge plan and discharge teaching and updates discharge plan in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in accordance with patient’s clinical course and continuing needs to expedite post discharge care.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Analyze expenses and book monthly adjusting entries (prepaids, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
- Compile and update budget vs. actuals files.
- Prepare and distribute the month-end financials.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Report on financial results in a timely manner.
- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner.
- Maintains accurate detail in support of the balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position.
- Routinely review vendor statements for key vendors to identify any potential delays in payment or other issues.
- Computer input is performed completely, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensures account activity complies with accounting standards.
- Various other duties in support of the Finance Director and Controller.
This position under the direction of the infection control committee is responsible for the effective direction, management and operation of the infection prevention and control program, including education of hospital personnel and consultation with the organization, CDC, and the county and state health departments.
The responsibilities encompass compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations, outbreak investigation, and overall direction of the infection prevention and control program.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Develops and implements facility-wide infection prevention and control measures to protect patients, staff and visitors.
- Conducts rounds, discussing and monitoring infection control practices with staff; collects infection data from departments, maintaining records for each case; trains staff on implementation of infection control practices and investigates known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and ensure control.
- Provides information to hospital committees and department managers to formulate changes in the policies, procedures and/or processes which could reduce the spread of infection.
- Interacts with physicians, nurses, department managers, supervisors, and occupational health and other professional/non-professional staff members to provide resource information, resolve infection control problems, and identify new opportunities to improve service and reduce costs
- Develops and enforces effectual policies and procedures for the department and hospital that ensures compliance with JC, OSHA, CDC, CMS and other county, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- Directs and assists in preparing reports and statistical data for the infection control committee, medical staff committees, medical executive committee and the facility's administration and other committees as needed. Responsible for CDRSS, NHSN and other data collection and entry.
- Develops and coordinates the infection prevention and control program throughout the facility. Implements the program by formulating, establishing, and evaluating policies and procedures relating to patient care infection control measures throughout the facility. Performs an annual risk assessment and evaluation of the existing Infection Control Plan and develops action plans from the prior year activities
- Makes recommendations regarding construction, renovation, environmental rounds, and assures compliance with national and/or professional standards.

Provides emergency, critical care, and general care respiratory services to neonatal, pedatric, adolescent, and adult and geriatric patients.
- Administers diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care modalities in a competent manner.
- Performs diagnostic respiratory care procedure.
- Maintains and monitors respiratory related equipment.
- Assists in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
- Delivers on a daily basis, therapeutic respiratory care modalities, according to department policies and procedures by processing requests for procedures from patient care units and confirming physicians orders in patient charts and establishing a patient care plan for each patient, regularly updating knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Evaluates the effects of therapies and makes records to the physician. Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients.
- Performs on a daily basis check of resuscitation equipment and emergency oxygen supply.
- Delivers and maintains on a daily basis oxygen equipment as ordered by physician.
- Stocks on a daily basis respiratory therapy supplies throughout the hospital.
- Maintains, cleans and performs, as needed, functional checks of department equipment
Main Function:

- Full Time (14 Shifts Per month or more if available) - Mix of Day & Night Shifts
- Must be comfortable running codes, full procedures, and covering the ICU (dependent on site)
- Privileges are issued system wide allowing providers to pick up additional shifts and see different patient populations
